5. Permissions and Roles

Permissions and roles determine what actions users can perform on the platform. As a content creator, you may need to assign roles or configure permissions for specific channels or content. Here’s how to manage them:


5.1 Configuring Permissions

Permissions control who can create, edit, and approve content within the platform. Here’s how to configure them:

  1. Channel-Specific Permissions:
    • Each channel can have its own set of permissions, allowing you to control who can create and approve content.
    • To configure permissions for a channel:
      1. Go to the Channels section and select the channel you want to configure.
      2. Click on Settings and then Permissions.
      3. Assign the appropriate permissions to users or roles (e.g., Content Editor, Approver).
      4. Save your changes.
  2. Content Editors:
    • Content Editors can create and edit posts but cannot approve them.
    • To assign Content Editor permissions:
      1. Go to the user’s profile in the Users section.
      2. Select Content Editor from the role dropdown menu.
      3. Save the changes.
  3. Content Approvers:
    • Content Approvers can review and approve posts before they are published.
    • To assign Content Approver permissions:
      1. Go to the user’s profile in the Users section.
      2. Select Content Approver from the role dropdown menu.
      3. Save the changes.
